Dreams of Justice: Shifts in LGBTQ Young Adult Literature in the 21st Century (Dr. Corrine Wickens)

LGBTQ+ young adult (YA) literature plays a critical role in the development of individuals finding themselves, exploring the world around them, and finding that they are not alone. Please join CSWGS’s inaugural faculty fellow Dr. Corrine Wickens, as she discusses her research of mapping different discourses on gender, sexuality, and the construction of childhood across over 50 award willing young adult novels. Dr. Wickens will discuss contemporary issues such as censorship as well as challenges and barriers surrounding this topic.

Faculty, staff, and students are welcome.
