NIU Digital Photography Day Camp 

June 17 - 20

9 a.m. - 3 p.m. 

For students enter grades 5 - 8.

This day camp will help campers learn both the technology and art behind one of the world’s most popular pastimes in photography. Discover how the pros work as you create your own photographs in preparation for an art show.  Find out how much fun photography can be when you work with other who love it as much as you. Campers must provide own DSLR camera or digital camera with manual controls.

Camp Director: Originally from the small town of Somonauk, Illinois, Wade Duerkes received a BFA and MFA in Photography from Northern Illinois University in 1999 and 2006 respectively. A career spanning 20 years he has worked as a university photographer, educator and freelance photographer. In 2008, he was nominated for Center (formerly the Sante Fe Center of Photography) 2008 Excellence in Photographic Teaching.


Early bird special before 4/1/19: $250

Standard 4/2/19 – 5/31/19: $275

After 6/1/19: $299

A $25 discount is available to NIU employees, families sending more than one camper or campers attending more than one camp.
