In this session, part of the Division of Outreach, Engagement, and Regional Development Community Engagement Brown Bag Lecture Series, Presidential Engagement and Partnerships Professor Mylan Engel Jr. will discuss how to design and implement a pedagogically effective community-engaged service-learning course. He’ll begin by distinguishing and clarifying different conceptions of service learning. Then he’ll share his experiences teaching a community-engaged service-learning course on the philosophy of food. Professor Engel will conclude with some tips and advice for those interested in developing and teaching a service-learning course of their own. Register Now!
