KNPE Graduate Colloquium Lecture: Flexing Behind Bars: Stories from a Juvenile Detention Center about the Power of Sport.

Learn about sport and recreation programs available to youth incarcerated at a local medium-security detention center for males ages 14-20. Speakers will focus on “Project Flex – A Fitness Leadership program for Incarcerated Male Youth” created by NIU professors from the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Initial research outcomes will be shared, along with opportunities for future careers working with incarcerated youth.
