In this seminar, Dr. Mark J. Meyer will present an overview of functional data analysis, focusing on function-on-function regression and its applications across diverse research fields. He will discuss the development and implementation of advanced Bayesian and nonparametric methodologies designed to enhance accessibility for non-specialists. Through case studies, Dr. Meyer will illustrate how these statistical techniques can be applied to complex data structures in disciplines such as epidemiology, global health security, and environmental health. Attendees can expect to gain insights into the importance of making sophisticated statistical methods understandable and applicable to real-world research challenges. This presentation wil be from 1-2pm and again at 3-4pm in Dusable Hall.
