The 2020 Returning Student Sexual Misconduct Awareness and Prevention Training, which opened on Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 1, is provided annually for all returning students at NIU. Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity and Education (AAEOE) as overseen by the Office of Academic Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ADEI) at NIU, provides this training to help students experience and contribute to our shared responsibility for a safe learning and living environment.

This online training helps build students’ knowledge about consent, sexual misconduct and ways to safely intervene in negative situations as active bystanders. The training includes important information on how the university responds to sexual misconduct, reporting options and resources that are available to students both on-and-off campus. Also, take a moment to review the revised Sexual Misconduct Policy and Complaint Procedures.
