Cultural Models at Work: How Mental Models Influence our Efforts to be Inclusive

Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Location: TEAMS

Cultural models are mental models that serve important functions to facilitate communication. But they can also lead to miscommunications, misunderstandings, and blind spots—in spite of our desires to be welcoming and inclusive. Come learn what cultural models are and how developing an awareness of their existence can foster our learning and growth, and ultimately help us be more inclusive.

This workshop is a part of the new Inclusion in Action series that aims to support positive and effective working relationships within the workplace and across the university.
