Aim Sinpeng is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney. She is the Thailand country coordinator for the Sydney Southeast Asia Research Centre and the co-founder of the Sydney Cybersecurity Network. She is the author of Opposing Democracy in the Digital Age (University of Michigan Press, 2021, open access) and From Grassroots Activism to Disinformation: Social Media in Southeast Asia with Ross Tapsell (ISEAS, 2021). Aim has won the 2021 Early Career Research Excellence Award from the University of Sydney and is currently working on her Discovery Early Career Research Award Fellowship (DECRA) project on "Cyber Repression and Political Protests in Thailand" funded by the Australian Research Council.
