Join Stephanie Schmidt, a 2022 ETRA GSA Scholarship recipient, as she discusses the findings from a qualitative study of Teacher Identity in university EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers in Saudi Arabia. By interviewing seven native and eight non-native Englishspeaking teachers (NNESTs), patterns of discrimination against NNESTs were discovered, including lower pay and fewer opportunities. Implications for teachers and administrators will be discussed. Come curious!
