About this Event
Chris Fink is the director of creative writing at Beloit College and editor of the Beloit Fiction Journal. A nature and environmental writer, he is the author of “Forage Like a Bear”, a collection of very short essays, and two collections of short fiction, “Farmer’s Almanac”, and “Add This to the List of Things That You Are”.
He teaches summer classes in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, where he learned to forage like a bear.
Fink founded two national short story prizes, the John Steinbeck Award and the Hamlin Garland Award. His stories have appeared in the Mississippi Review, New Orleans Review and Witness. He is a regular contributor to WNIJ's “Perspectives”
