A vibrant performance by NIU's Chinese Music Ensemble featuring solo and ensemble pieces that celebrate the festive traditions of the Lunar New Year within the Chinese community. This event will also feature a hands-on Chinese calligraphy activity where attendees can create Spring Couplets, a tradition to usher in the new year. Directed by renowned pipa master Yang Wei, this is the first event in University Libraries' World Music Comes to the Library series.
