About this Event
Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Location: Microsoft TEAMS
Whether you’re a supervisor or a direct report, there are times when uncomfortable or difficult conversations need to occur. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed with projects and need to determine a plan with your supervisor to share some tasks with one of your colleagues. Maybe you’re a supervisor who needs to discuss continual gossiping within your team with of one of your direct reports who tends to initiate unproductive discussion. Whatever the circumstances may be, considering others perspectives, increasing clear communication and bringing humility can turn these kinds of difficult discussions into solution-focused and productive ones. Join us Thursday, March 2nd at 11am to engage in meaningful reflection and discussion about this important topic!
Faciliated by Merlynette Griffin, MPH, M.S.Ed., Center for Student Assistance Assistant Director, and Lindsay Hatzis, J.D., M.P.A., Director of Investigations and Clery Compliance within the Ethics and Compliance Office.
This session is a part of the Inclusion in Action series which aims to support effective working relationships among employees at NIU through the sharing of knowledge and resources.
