Cap & Gown Pick-Up

Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00am to 2:00pm

Convocation Center, Multi-Purpose 1525 W Lincoln Hwy

The NIU Commencement ceremonies are a traditional graduation ceremony where graduates wear black robes and a black mortar board. Academic Honor Pins, Ribbons, Insignias, Cords and Academic Sashes are allowed, as well as Mortar Board Senior Honor Society Medallions (You will need to contact the appropriate university organizations to obtain those awards). The Robes & Caps are to be returned after the recessional immediately following the ceremony. You do keep your tassel.

**please note: the gowns are folded and will be creased and wrinkled. Steamers and irons are not allowed in the Convocation Center.


Caps, gowns and degree tassels will be distributed at the Convocation Center. Please use entrance 2 or 5.

Friday, December 14: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 15: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 16: available when the doors open for your undergraduate ceremony
