Call for Papers: 2019 Southeast Asian Studies Student Conference
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Southeast Asia Club invites papers for its interdisciplinary 2019 Southeast Asia Student Conference. Papers maybe submitted on any topic pertaining to Southeast Asia. Undergraduate and graduate papers welcome. Best paper awards will be given for both undergraduate and graduate papers.

The 2019 Southeast Asian Student Conference will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019, in Campus Life 100. Breakfast will be offered at 8:30 am. Panelist presentations will be throughout the day, with the keynote speaker speaking at 1:00 pm. The conference will conclude at 5:00 pm.
KEYNOTE
Andrew Weintraub (PhD University of California-Berkeley) is a professor in the University of Pittsburgh’s Department of Music specializing in the music of Southeast Asia. His research and publications in the fields of ethnomusicology and cultural theory address music and cultural rights, the pop culture of Islam, and sound repatriation.
