The Board of Trustees Professorship recognizes faculty who have achieved national/international recognition for their scholarship or artistry, demonstrated a record of exceptional commitment to students both inside and outside of the classroom, and made significant contributions to advance the mission and reputation of the university and to improve the condition of the community at large. One of the privileges of the award is for the recipient to share in a public presentation of his or her scholarly activities, and how students are engaged in such activities.
