Attention Student Leaders:   

The Annual People's Organizing Weekend Empowerment Retreat (POWER) will take place Jan. 17-19, 2025.  

The purpose of POWER is to empower student advocates, both those with previous experience planning and/or participating in activities centered on the tenets of social justice, and those who are new to the practice entirely, to enhance their toolkits for the purpose of community organizing. Our goal is for student advocates to strategically and effectively create spaces for intentional and culturally specific planning focused on coalition building while allowing participants to work as allies and collaborators. We'll give participants the "why, what and how" of organizing, and they will come away from this retreat with the skills to organize effectively.
