At the AHEC informational table, we engage students, faculty, and community members in learning about the Northeast Illinois Area Health Education Center (AHEC) and its programs. We provide information about opportunities, such as AHEC Scholars and AHEC Cares, as well as other initiatives that aim to improve access to healthcare in underserved communities. We answer questions, share resources, and encourage students to explore careers in the health and human services field. I also distribute promotional materials, guide visitors to application links, and build connections with campus and community partners to strengthen awareness of AHEC’s mission.
