About this Event
A Q&A for NIU faculty and graduate students in regard to the academic book publishing process. This event is designed to provide a professional development forum for scholars publishing their first monograph and for anyone who has questions about academic book publishing.

Q&A for the remaining time
Amy Farranto joined Northern Illinois University Press as an acquisitions editor in 2008 and she has continued working as a senior acquisitions editor for what is now the NIU Press imprint of Cornell University Press. She acquires books for the NIU series in Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies; the NIU Series in Orthodox Christian Studies; and the NIU Southeast Asian Series. In addition, she publishes books on the Midwest and works of political philosphy.
