In solidarity with DREAM Action NIU (DANIU) and the Undocumented Student Resource Center (USRC), we will be participating in the National I Stand With Immigrants Day of Action campaign to celebrate shared immigrant experiences and show support to our UndocuHuskies on Tuesday, October 15th. We will offer engagement activities on October 15 and encourage faculty, staff and students to attend the following:

• A tabling event (across from CAB offices) in the Holmes Student Center from 1pm-3pm. A limited amount of FREE I Stand With Immigrant t-shirts will be available to the allies who stop by and engage in all 3 activities offered at the tabling event, which are: 

  • Write a short statement on why #IStandWithImmigrants poster 

  • Record a short video clip explaining why “I stand with immigrants” or take a photo image of you holding a sign stating #IStandWithImmigrants AND 

  • Place a pin on our world map to display where you or your family is from
