Peer Mentor Summit
The first ever Peer Mentor Summit is sponsored by the University Honors Program, The Office of the Provost, The Office of Student Engagement and Experiential Learning, and The Office of First and Second Year Experience. It is open to all students, staff, and faculty at NIU, and it's primary purpose is to explore, with current and future mentors, the facets of mentoring. Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Eric Weldy, the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, and we will also have a series of breakout sessions that will cover topics such as the freshmen experience, diversity in mentoring, campus resources, academic relationships, and others which will be led by staff and students.
